Welcome back to another great issue of Weekly Tips. Summer time means super sales. This is obviously true, especially with all the back-to-school bargains. And, often times you can find a HUGE deal just by paying attention to detail.
Advertisers who use our services to promote their online business realize it's not the inflexibility and slow decision making processes. Instead, they understand it's their own business in the mix with similar competitors, and eventually learn they must establish their own unique brand.
Recently, I've read quite a few emails from our advertisers and publishers who want to know one thing or another. I've got to be perfectly honest with you about those questions; it sent me back to the good old days when summer time fun co-existed with doing good business. It's a wonderful feeling with an increased willingness to be more productive. Plus, it gave my customers more purchase options.
Here's a couple of questions from our readers...
Should I offer my customers something for free?
Why, most certainly. Allow me to ask you this: Will you take a free sample of something at a grocery store or shopping mall? Maybe a free taste of a pastry? Some companies have built an empire simply by giving away free samples. The same will apply to any online business.
Can I offer a solid guarantee and still make a profit?
I would highly suggest you guarantee every sale you make. You might think people will take advantage of you and you'll go out of business. That's natural, but false. In fact, your guarantee needs to be so strong that the risk is reversed from your prospect to you! If you can get 1-5% of your prospects buying power knowing that the other 95-99% is coming right afterward, then you'll do a good job of serving their needs and still make a profit.
I hope you will enjoy today's issue. Please take a few moments to read what our guest authors have in store for you. Remember, until next time, consumers want more bang for their buck during the summer. Do your very best to make your business stand out from the rest.

Do you have good writing habits? Are you meeting or exceeding your own expectations?
Consider this gentleman below:
A 19th century British Postal clerk decided to start writing 3,000 words each day so that he could author his very own first novel. He placed his watch on the table and wrote before leaving the house every morning. This new habit paid off, and later Anthony Trollope published not one, but many novels; among them, "The Macdermots of Ballycloran" (1847), "Phineas Finn" and "He Knew He Was Right" (both 1869).

When I was a kid, I couldn't wait for the Lillian Vernon catalogues to arrive in the mail. Each page was chock full of items that had no real purpose other than they were fun to look at and buy. As I thumbed through the pages, I wasn't dreaming about what I wanted to purchase (at fourteen, I didn't have much use for monogrammed teacups and dishtowels). I was picturing how utterly cool it would be to have a mail order business where every day checks arrived, as if by magic, in my
mailbox.

Everywhere you turn these days, you read about membership sites. You read how easy they are to set up, and how lucrative they can be. That should naturally lead you to the question, "Should I be operating my own membership site?"
Are they really that easy to set up and maintain? First of all, a membership site is nothing more than a system for password protecting some "content," and a system for handling recurring billing of members. So they can be very simple, and in fact can be set up using all free resources. Read
